The Journey

The journey of this movie began when we were at the final year of university. When you actually delve into the cost of almost any film that you have seen you soon begin to realize, that the possibility of getting to actually make a feature film is very unlikely; Having realized this I wrote a film that could be executed with a budget as small as 3000 pounds.
 
To most it seemed like an impossible task considering the scale of production necessary to execute the script. but I found a group of people crazy enough to believe in this project and help me on this journey.

With very little experience we began producing this film. The budget was only factoring in the production. We had no money for after the film was shot. Nothing for festivals, nothing for editing, coloring, sound design and marketing. We managed to crowd fund £2700.00 pounds and used innovative ways to tackle all the production obstacles. We managed to get this film shot. 
 
The film got stuck there. There were many skill-sets that were required to actually finish the film for which we had no money. I kept going back to the film it was my only horse in the race after all. All the music budget was spent and we had no music that was actually usable. The entire edit of the film had to be rebuilt too because our editing and archiving method was flawed from the get go. 
 
This film had predicted the difficult journey it was to go on, and that was always factored into the story but I truly never thought it would be this difficult to work with no money. 
 
I made the entire music for the film. Re-built the edit from scratch. Sound designed and mixed the sound. I then reached out to friends and people in different parts of the world to help with the visual effects and coloring the film.
 
It took years of work for me to learn multiple new roles just so I can finish this film after having already written, directed and produced it. 
 
The people that were invested in this project were invested in their craft and love for cinema and the arts; they believed we could do something different. I cannot wait to share this soulful movie with you.
